Astor Furniture & Interiors, a wholesale furnisher in San Francisco, needed an identity that could reflect its convergence of traditional and modern. We combined clean lines and very minimalistic representation for the mark with a very traditional, humanist typeface. The enlarged ampersand reflects the ornamentation found in classic furniture while the austerity of the overall design reflects modern aesthetic.
